CPA Exam Exam Exam Prep’s $99 ‘Free’ $99 Credit Card Could Be Bad News for the Industry

In September 2017, Wegner CPA test prep firm Aicpa said it would stop offering its free exam prep program to its customers, citing the ongoing financial crisis.

The move came just months after a leaked report claimed that Wegners CPA exam preparation service, Wegelin, was underperforming its clients.

A recent analysis by the Center for Responsible and Effective Disclosure found that the company’s $1.9 billion in revenue last year was significantly below industry expectations.

Wegelins CEO Tom Schilling has since claimed the company was “undervalued,” claiming that the crisis had forced him to “make difficult choices” and “change the direction of our company.”

In a statement to Ars, Wegerin CEO Matt Fazio said that the bank’s decision to cease offering the exam prep service to its clients was a “mistake” that the “business is very sorry for.”

“We have made the decision to discontinue offering Wegelintexas exam prep, in partnership with our client, CPA, and its partners,” FazIO wrote.

“As a result of this decision, We have had to make difficult choices regarding how to continue to service our clients and their businesses.”

Wegelina’s test prep service was one of several companies to stop offering free exam preparation to their clients last year, according to the Center.

The company had previously only offered its free services to its clientele, with the majority of its exam preparation products being for corporate, academic, and career programs.

Fazios statement continued, “As part of the recent crisis, we have had a hard time in our business, with our customers and our employees being unable to make payments on time.”
